Social Dancing
 We hold a monthly social dance at The Ark, School Lane (off Bear
Hill), Alvechurch, B48 7SB. The Ark is the award-winning modern hall
attached to St Laurence Parish Church, and has an excellent sprung
floor, very good facilities and ample parking.
We offer a balanced programme of the best
Ballroom and Latin American dance music, with a small selection of
popular Sequence Dances. There is no bar, so please bring your own
refreshments & glasses. Admission £5/person (on the door).
Seat reservations are now available for parties of four or more:
please contact us by 4pm on the day.

Map & Directions
The Ark is easy to find.
From the centre of Alvechurch village (on the B4120), turn up Bear
Hill. There are brown tourist signs at the crossroads to both St
Laurence Church and the Marina. Drive about 1/3 mile up Bear Hill.
At the top of the hill, turn sharp left (another brown sign to St
Laurence Church) into School Lane. The Church and The Ark share a
car park at the very end of the lane.
Alternatively, if you are coming from Redditch, turn directly up
School Lane, the lower part of which is a quite narrow one-way
street. On departing, you will be directed down Bear Hill into the
centre of the village (as above).
If you are coming by train (and Alvechurch is on the cross city line
with a service every 30 minutes), the railway station is just a
little further up Bear Hill, and so an easy short walk from The Ark.
